So this is my Saturday night ... o:p></o:p>

(Keep in mind that we are a small 65 room property and I am the only one there in the eve)

Get to work... everything is fine... My supervisor leaves (he was working the desk before me) and says if I have any problems to give him a call... I say ok and tell him to have a good eve.... maybe about a half hour or so (I don’t really remember) I make keys for a guest and they come back and say they don’t work and then right as they say that the person that checked in after them comes down and says the same thing... I recode their keys and tell them see if that fixes it ... well I didn’t. Ok now I don’t know what is going on ... I try calling my supervisor ... no answer... I call the gm ... no answer... I call maintenance ask if he has any ideas... he tells me that the time and date in the encoder keeps changing so that it makes keys ahead of the actual time and date.... I look and sure thing im making keys on Sunday and its only sat so the doors don’t think that the keys exist. OH FUN ... I ask the maintenance guy but he says that the gm and my supervisor are the only ones that have the password to fix it... oh goodie... so I am calling and calling everyone I know trying to get a hold of one of them ... and also calling them every like 2 mins lol... im sure my supervisors phone said like 30 missed calls.... so until like 7:30 I am personally letting guests in their rooms because the keys I make don’t work.... ok so the supervisor finally called me back (he accidentally left his phone at home ) and we got that fixed ... I know how to change the date now... but it still keeps changing the date ... I did this at least 3 more times that night and then decided to lock me out of the system totally ... and our "fail safe cards" are not working either ... they must have expired so we need to make new ones there too!..... Long story (not so) short... we called the vingcard lady and we will be getting a new card making machine ( ouch!! they are only like $700-$800) in the next 2 days... I hope we can survive!
